Teaching you to be gentle with the kitty (and with us!) is something we work on multiple times a day. “Gentle touch.” “No hitting/biting/pinching that hurts Mommy.” “Gentle touch.” “Gentle with the kitty.” With demonstrations every time. (The biting thing is new, and I think they’re just misguided kisses, but ow! I’m not sure how to deal with those… The current approach is 1) Stop what we’re doing, and put you on the floor. 2) Say “no biting. 3) I walk away, to your dismay. 4) I come back 30-45 seconds later, say “no biting that hurts mommy” and then “gentle touch,” showing you how to be gentle. “We use gentle touch to show how we love each other.”)
Scarlett is SO rough with the cat! Haha poor Kitty. I just say “gentle with Kitty” and show her how to pat, but nothing beyond that, I figure it’s just her age. The cat soon gets out of arms reach anyway
This photo is so great. I love the look on her face. She appears rather feisty
Sorry, I have nothing to offer re: biting. I guess we were lucky, Silas never went through that phase.
Beautiful photo, baby girl and cat!
